Step 1 Installing the Software

Download the PC/Mac client from Dropbox for your computer. When installing the software you will also be prompted to create an account. Please do so at this point. This account gives you free access to 2 gigabytes (gb) of cloud storage that can be accessed from any PC/Mac or Dropbox Enabled Device.

Step 2 Installing the App

On your new iPod Touch, navigate to the App Store application and search for the DropBox app. It is a free application to download and doesn't take up much space.

Step 3 Launching the App on your iPod Touch 4G

Launch the DropBox app from your iPod Touch and sign in to your newly created DropBox account. 

Step 4 Adding Photos and Videos for Transfer

You can now click the '+' icon in the top right-hand corner in order to:

  • Take a New Photo
  • Record a New Video
  • Add an Existing Photo or Video

Step 5 Accessing Photos and Videos on Computer

Depending on your machine, there will be a brand-new Dropbox folder that was installed with the software in Step 1. Here you will find all of the photos and videos that you have dropped using the application on your iPod. From there you can transfer them to another folder on your machine or leave them there and use them.
